I started using MS OneNote a year back for taking notes but hard to access that app on anything portable (last year I was using a Windows Mobile phone so the sync worked with that). Since then I moved to iphone and then now to the Android platform.
Does anyone know of any app that lets you sync OneNote to portable platforms.
I’ve been testing out Evernote and it seems pretty good. Free account can take upto 40 mb of stuff so I’m not going to be running out anytime soon. But its no OneNote.
three years ago i was looking for some application that could convert speech into text, so i dont have to write any notes… :D…well that was the closest i have ever come to “thought” of making notes.
I don’t use a personal note taking app… just make voice notes on the phone when I have a random thought, or use online bookmarks and gmail with labels. I know this may not be efficient, but I’m too used to it now.
That being said, for group meetings, I use Evernote where we usually brainstorm ideas using whiteboards, and then people take pics of the whiteboard with their cells.
With Evernote, it extracts the text from the photos (OCR-like) so it makes it easier to post meeting minutes based on those exhibits.
Speech to text - Google Nexus one, there’s an app for that
Speech to google Search - there’s an app for that
Take a picture to google search - there’s an app for that
LC, come on man. I had high hopes for you
Voice notes to text atleast?
I have been using Evernote and its working for the most part. Good to hear about OCR feature, i’m going to start taking more pics from now on. It fully supports tags so find things by tags and then by time periods is very convenient. But I’m always consious about data going to outside servers so don’t put critical info on there.
