This verse is something to ponder about with world talking about global warming here comes the verse

YUSUFALI: When the oceans boil over with a swell;
PICKTHAL: And when the seas rise,
SHAKIR: And when the seas are set on fire,

Assalamu Aalykum,

I believe this is just a picture of how the events on the Day of Judgment will be. This is evident from the following verses:

81:11 And when the sky is torn away;
81:12 And when the Hell is lighted;
81:13 And when the Garden is brought near;
81:14 (Then) every soul know what it has put forward.

Especially consider the last two verses - when all of this will happen on the Day of Judgment, then each soul will know what they had done in the worldly life.

These verses, in my opinion, have nothing to do with global warming.

This was my opinion and i may be wrong to and Codey ye sirf mera opinion tha yaar i might be wrong and I feel i am wrong i have misunderstood the verse.
