khichRaa ... usually, it's cooked in many homes on the day of Ashura in our Lucknow.

meat and several kinds of grains and pulses is cooked together in a pot with lots of spices. some make it very hot while others keep it quite mild.

Buy a slow cooker and a recipe book for slow cooker and you will never run of of ideas.

I thought you were asking for environment friendly and resources saving food cooked in a single pot!

Good point. If there are multiple pots, the external surface area / internal volume ratio would be very high. So too much heat loss. Not energy efficient.
