Taliban have taken one positive step after passing the nizam e adal regulation from parliament that they announced to disarm and put sanction on every weaponry show in the city.
They also said that they will now give full support to army but now government must also help them in whipping america out of afghanistan.
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
Hardly a positive step. They should not have weapons in the first place. First they break the law and then we consider it a positive development when they obey it on their own terms and conditions.

Captain FT
You need to learn the history of that region first.
The people in those Tribal areas were keeping weapons much before the Taliban ideology arrived!
Those tribals had a tradition of keeping wepons. Taliban came in picture later.
The problem is not weapon. The main problem is there is a deadly mixture of weapons and a totalitarian radical ideology.
Many countries including USA allow their citizens to keep weapons. But they don't allow a radical Nazi ideology to take roots!
What Pakistan need to eliminate is the Wahhabi ideology of Taliban, rather than weapons. But unfortunately, Pakistani Army and ISI considers these Talibs as some strategic assets!
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
CM and Mr Bhoomi! well yes the allegations of terrorism against them are right and they must also pay for that but their demand is totally right and not bad to have and implement Islamic laws in the country becoz Pakistan was only made on the name of Islam, not on the name of hinduism and terrorism and extremism which taliban have also done which is wrong.
But we must also appreciate positive steps yes they have done many negative things but even every positive step of enemy must also be appreciated. one cannot claim that if a person has been a killer in the past then he will constantly remain killer for all his life. he may also repent. ok?
and bhoomi! thanku for giving me such a useful info which i already knew. ok?
and what a hell you people have a right to interfere in our country's problems and divide us? go and first see your own country then come here to do your eveil propaganda.
you enemiz take out an issue which is in reality is a problem in our country and then make a full use of the situation to divide us.
But mind it man! now it's india's turn to divide, not Pakistan's . ok?
first handle 36 seccesionist movements in india who are becoming strong ok?

Haah mercenary2k! apnay jesi baytukki baatein hi kerna. taliban kabhi pakistan ko fatah nahe ker saktay despite the fact that there are also mnay sympathies for them in pakistan.

from the daily express link there is no mention of taliban saying that they will disarm -- just the usual slippery replies to that question -- in this case "hamaray paas tau rivayati islahah hai jo har pashtun kay ghar main hota hai". Why are you lying on behalf of taliban?!

Where do you live, dude ? Taliban already "aadhe Pakistan ko fatah kar chuke hain" :) It is only a matter of time before the remaining part also goes their way.
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
Why is American presence important for them? Why should Pakistan support them? They are Pakistanis, just mind their frigging business and not dictate Pakistan’s foreign policy.
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
You do realize this is just another step toward their fascist goal to get every aspect of Pushtun life under their control...? The only people they'll be disarming will be Pakistani citizens who have born the right to have arms for self-protection since before Pakistan was even formed...take away a kalashnikov from a Pathan family, and what are they going to do to oppose your rule??
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
eleventyone! agar apki aankhein hn to zara ghor se itni bardi surkhi ko pardhein k swat taliban ne hathyar daal diye aur pooray zilay me weapons ki numaesh pe pabandi lga di.
mujhay umeed hai k apko 15-04-09 ki daily express study kertay waqt glasses nahe lgana pardein gay
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
captainFT if you click on the article and read muslim khan's actual statements, you'll realize the headline was incorrect. he never said they would disarm, he denied having any more weapons than an "average pushtoon" and instead said that they would request arms from govt to fight in afghanistna. what a joke.
Re: One positive step taken in several negative steps by Taliban!
LOL - Its been a very long time since people have been able to carry weapons in Swat in public.
the Taliban have nothing to do with this LOL.
It was probably The Wali of swat or the Gov of Pakistan/NWFP who adopted this measure. if you forget swat has been a popular place for domestic tourists for last 30 years. People wont take family to places where theres people carrying guns openly.
Even in places such as Darra Adam khel most people no longer walk around with weapons.
So basically you are goingt o have t try harder to find a good thing to say about them.
