CIMA conference, Sri Lanka 2005. I lost count of the number of times Imran mentioned the word ‘ambition’. One of his other favourites was ‘obsession’
Is Imran Khan the new Asghar Khan in politics?
Capital Talk with Imran Khan, Durrani (Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting) and Syed Yousuf Raza Geelani (PPP Vice-Chairman) on Musharraf’s popularity. Interesting discussion ahead of 2007 General and Presidential Elections
I think Imran's main problem is that he's too direct and forthright. He often lets his emotions get the better of him. While that's a commendable trait in anyone, unfortunately it does n't go down too well with the masses. 'iss government ney to corruption ka issue hee khatam kar diya hai', hum Musharraf ko Hosni Mubarak nahin banney dain gey'. He needs to mellow down a bit and be more tactful when expressing his views about various national and international issues.
for instance in the video if you compare Imran's responses to those of Geelani, the latter (did not duck any question) gave measured answers and spoke like a politician.
Imran should realise that we are not living in an utopian world and quite frankly he won't be able to 'latka' (hang) every corrupt person like he used to say in the past.
