Re: One is never too many!!!

Shame I can only like the your post once. Gol guppay are the only street food i’d look forward to on visits to Pak. Who knows where the gol guppa wala’s hands have been…or how clean they or his utensils are…or even the very real likelihood of ending up with sick with a stomach bug…they’re irresistable! And I’ve a bias against calling them paani puri…it just doesn’t carry the same feel…and it is more than just puri and water. Tis’ a crime to only eat the shells with water as the only filling :/.

Rv and philosophy, you are welcome.

Amazingly, Boba is not the only example of “large breasts” entering the mainstream food industry. We all know of “Hooters” restaurant, but back in the 90’s, Midwest had a chain of Mexican restaurants called chi-chi’s which is also Mexican slang for large breasts.

Please let me know when you want me to stop talking about this topic, cause I can go on and on.

Re: One is never too many!!!

^You can stop.

See here’s the difference. Most people know what the name of the restaurant, Hooters refers to. It’s common knowledge. But Boba…was not really associated with that until you brought it up. You have ruined Bubble tea just as you have superman. Good going. :grumpy:

I thought it was a common knowledge. Dont people read wiki anymore:(

Re: One is never too many!!!

Lol i too cannot call glorious gol gappay by their less attractive totally misleading second name - they are not water filles crispy puris. There is work involved…chanay, potatoes, chutneys…it’s art! Whenever i go to Indian cafes here i refuse to call then paani puri…i get awkward stares. But whatever..its gol gappay.

Also - i think it’s the grimy hands of the gol gappa stand guys + pollution that makes Pakistani cart gol gappay so epic. It’s a flavor enhancement…can’t get it anywhere else.

Um, food.

I am a nibbler, so if there’s something that I like, I go back for seconds and thirds and fourths and fiftieths.

And I’m equal opportunity - I like both savoury and sweet. So nuts, chips, pakoras, paapar. popcorn, or chocolate, cookies - anything munchable and I’ll keep eating it until it’s removed from in front of me.
