One Desi rhyme that puzzles me is

‘aloo kachaloo beta kahan gayeh thai
sabzee kee tokri mayn sio rahey thai
gajar nai laat mari ro parray thai
mooli nai pyaar kiya haans parray thai’

the point is why are gajjars portrayed as such meanies in it. I believe that gajjar’s are very sweet , innocent and loving vegetables, while i have always though of a mooli as a mean vegetable, i am sure its the scheming mooli that must have plotted sumthing to give gajjar’s a bad name.

Moral of the story, Gajjars gud, Moolis bad.
