Mr. Moderator, aadhi baat bolte ho

The matches which have been taken into consideration (under "Matches Played") are kaun se matches ? Is it the matches played in the last one year ?

Yes the matches are the ones played during the last one year. The standings in september this year will be taken as the finals ones to decide the 2003 world cup groupings.

I wonder if Bangladesh and Kenya have been put in alphabetic order. Technically Kenya has lost fewer matches so should be above Bangladesh.

Currently,
Group A is VERY TOUGH.
Group B seems like a walk in the park. Totally boring.

As ehsan says the rankings in september this year will decide the final position so there might be changes in the groups of teams.
Also one more team will be taking part in world cup to make total 12 teams. Adding that to group A form these standings should make it a bit easier.

I do agree however that group B at the moment seems a stroll in the park compared to group A. On the plus side, teams qualifying for 2nd round from group A will get easier teams to play against at that stage.
