One can tell that one is being observed?

can you?

people evaluate others for their own motives, others take time to weigh how a given person is, and whether or not to approach such a person.

do you think, this has to do with an innate ability more than actual social experience of being observed?

what are the social interactional comfort costs for this dynamics?

selfishness

In many cases, it is safer/easier to assume then to find the truth. There are a number of varying reasons for that. One of the major one is the absence of risk-taking attitude.

Re: One can tell that one is being observed?

I think people work better when they know they are being observed. Maybe this explains the "need" for a Supreme Being....Perhaps?

Re: One can tell that one is being observed?

that's so true, aly_sam. absolutely.
but that observation is not at all comparable with the kind of human observation i referred to here.
