Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) reported on Sunday that more than 950 Palestinian children were killed over last six years of Al-Aqsa Intifada.

“Over the last six years of the Intifada, more than 950 Palestinian children were killed, thousands were injured. Moreover, more than 7800 houses were demolished in the same period, forcing thousands of children to be homeless and displaced in temporary shelters for long periods of times,” GCMHP said in a statement on the Occasion of World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse.

GCMHP added that more than 400 Palestinian children are still imprisoned in Israeli jails, where Israeli Prisons Authorities practice violence, humiliation, and violations of their basic rights by means of exposing them to cruel and ill treatment, which negatively impacts their physical and psychosocial development and health.

“The imprisoned children are subjected to deprivation of food, sleep, and family visitations as well as various forms of abuse,” GCMHP stated.

The Palestinian children’s reality is more painful as they are exposed to murder, injuries and expulsion by the Israeli Occupation Forces(IOF).

GCMHP asserted that Palestinian children suffer from the Israeli violent practices and collective punishment against civilians such as the continuation of the use of sonic booms over Gaza Strip.

“Such booms leave serious and negative repercussions on the mental and physical health of children,” the Gaza Programme highlighted.

It pointed out that Palestinian children, among patients, could not receive the much- needed medical services abroad as the Israeli government imposes a strict siege over Gaza Strip.

GCMHP expressed "deep concerns regarding what is happening on the ground in terms of massacres, crimes, and violations committed by the IOF against innocent children and civilians in general.

The Gaza Programme urgently appealed to the international community to rescue and protect Palestinian children and to break the imposed siege on Palestinian people.

Dody, care to comment about the terror orgainzations that train children to be hateful and fill their heads with terror propaganda, is that abuse? What about the effects of terrorists using children as human shields, abusive? What about the effect on children when the culture they live in celebrates suicide bombers as hero's? What aboout using children to plant bombs and even using them as suicide bombers, is that abusive?

Oh and where in the article are the stories about Jews drinking the blood of Palestinian children that are told to the children?

is not being able to grow up in a normal environment not enough reason to hate israel. or your parents are struggling to find food to feed you. all as a result of jewish religious zealots.

Y do palestinians hate israeli's? And how many CIVILIANS deaths are there on one side and how many on the other? One article said 400 Palestinians to like less than ten Israeli's. What do u want them to do, just sit their and enjoy the occupation and deal with it. And plz giveme the details how many kids were used as sheilds, and how many were used as suicide bombers and planting bombs? U can use Israeli source and than subtract that from the total,and tell me how justified the other deaths were. U still believe the technical failure excuses.

The Palestinians should be outraged toward the Palestinians that have brought about this failed intifada 'policy'. It has brought them nothing but misery and failure. You just can't piss into a fan and get mad at the results. You can't blame the fan or the wind it creates, you must blame the idiot who chooses to relieve himself in such an inappropriate manner.

thats where youre wrong. these kids dont need propaganda or parents to tell them who is killing their family and shooting at their friends. they only have to step out the house to see the tanks in their streets. hate is forced upon them by what they observe...and no amount of propaganda could beat that if they tried.

using or influencing children to plant bombs or as suicide bombers is never right, i agree, but the probability of that happening is prolly 1 in a 100 000 if not less, an when you compare that to the number of palis. women and kids being abused daily, its not even significant.

so lets get a real perspective here...and stop using it as an excuse to justify the israeli abuse....cause really your defence line is lame to the core.

you'd really think these terrorists would've learnt something from the holocaust, but it seems they've picked a thing or two from the Nazi's instead. hows that for twisted.

Indignation, resistance, protest and negotatiatoins may have been brought about from Israelis. But not the failed and counterproductive intifada. Not the election of Hamas. You can be mad all day long and every Muslim in the world can hate the Jews, but the fact is that Palestinians and Arabs have chosen the wrong path ever since the first failed war against the Israelis in 1947.

You would have thought they had learned something from their terrorist policies by now. You can't pee on someone and tell them it's raining either. The Palestinians have never worked toward peace. They just keep attacking and provoking Israel and then whine and moan about being poor pitiful little victims. The Muslim world instead of helping constructively just keep encouraging the failed policies of random attacks against Israelis while deifying the Palestinian cause.

Enemy of Islam? How do you figure? I say a clear thinking person would consider the failed terrorist policies of the Palestinian resistance more the enemy of Islam. Perhaps there is a reason Allah hasn't granted Palestinians peace and properity. Policies that do nothing but bring death to Israeli civilians, misery and poverty to Palestinians and the continuation of occupation surely don't please him. And it surely has gotten the Palestinians no where but backwards in the past 50+ years.

niether the israeilis nor the groups like hamas (an israeili creation btw) are right. its nto black and white, its nto one side is 100%right and one is 100% wrong.
both have their faults and both have a right to live a proper life. bickering is nto goign to solve anything, the status quo only hurts the palestinians. Both sides need to accept mutual existence and move on with better futures for themselves and their future genetrations
