Pakistan doesn’t have a direct election presidential system. If all candidates in a constituency in KPK are Pathan or in Sindh are Sindhi, you don’t really have a choice to vote in another way.
The only parties which overtly run election campaigns on ethnic basis are mqm and people’s party in Sindh. I hope this would also end soon.
