Location: Big Bear Lake, in the San Bernardino Mountains (San Bernardino County – the largest in U.S)
** Distance:** 100 miles northeast of Downtown LA, roughly 2 hrs drive
** Elevation:** approx 7,000 ft.
It had snowed there a couple weeks earlier. It was a beautiful, cool yet sunny afternoon.

The lake is completely snow-fed, with no tributaries. In severe snowfall, the water gets frozen as well.
The sun was beginning to set and there was a certain chill in the air by this time. A xmas day well spent. We were out of there.
