On this Pakistan Day - 23rd March

**
Should Tolerance be our priority?
**
70 years ago Muslims of Sub-Continent decide to have a state of their own, they worked for it, sacrificed and Allah All-Mighty granted them with a gift within 7 years of the struggle.

One of the elements of that struggle was the tolerance towards each other, we the Pakistani nation are trying to pose our selves liberals and die-hard fans of democracy and freedom, yet the very fans have so-far failed to show any tolerance to the difference of opinion.

On this occasion, we should all try to bear difference of opinion, we should try to live and friends with the people whom we do not agree on certain political and religious issues.

Pakistan has done well above average in last 60 odd years, we are 7th declared atomic power of the world, we have one of the finest army we have one the best and in-demand man-power and most of all, we still existed despite all the predictions and analysis posted by the anti-Pakistan forces.

We need to build on it, we need to turn ourselves in a civilized society and for this, we do not have to copy anyone blindly, we just have to tolerate the view of opposition, we need to learn to live happily even if we have difference of opinion. We should be able to respect the people who do not agree with our theory or school of thought, we shouldn’t be calling names or label others with the names we do not like for ourselves or for our loved ones.

All in all, we need to learn to rejects opposite point of view or should be able to convince others with the help of evidences and logic, again we should learn to respect and accept the reality ( means if zardari is thief, then it should be accepted by all J)

So are we ready to become a society where we can tolerate other views or we continue to be Taliban ( and I mean Pakistani Talibans) style with the difference that we do not have access to guns and have not guts to kill people with other believes…

So do you agree to tolerate the views/practices/religions/political alliances of others?

Re: On this Pakistan Day - 23rd March

Tolerance is definately a part of the package. We, as Pakistanis, and as a nation need to overhaul all our policies regarding external matters as well as internal.

We are the hoisters of a beatiful flag, but we've never taken the time to understand methodology behind that White, Green, Crescent and Moon.

White is the symbol of peace for all minorities to come and practice their way of life in Pakistan, in an ideal Muslim country that makes it binding on all muslims of the nation to protect their minorities. The nation was built on principles of Madinah.

The green represents prosperity and growth. We need to educate ourselves and choose the best among us as our leaders, who would utilize the talents of this nation and lead this nation forward to prosperity. Whose investment is not the salaries, or future positions of power, but rather the well-being of Pakistan.

The Crescent and Moon are reminders of our destiny. We take our guidance from the divine, just as sailors and travelers used stars are their navigational tools. We use Quran and Sunnah as our guidance to be fair, Just, Peaceful, Loving, and an example for all others to look up to.

Pakistan has not achieved even 1/4th of its destined accomplishments. The onus is on all of us to ensure that Pakistan makes lead in every field of today's world. Be it technology, education, healthcare, or public welfare. We, as a nation, will inshaAllah achieve our destined goals, let us hope we can accomplish them sooner than later.

Pakistan was made as an example for all other muslim nations. We have yet to fulfill that promise, vision, and dream of the founders of this great nation. May Allah reward the patriots of this nation, and humiliate those who scheme to cause it harm in any way.

Re: On this Pakistan Day - 23rd March

^^

What is the reason that we have failed to achieve what we should have achieved?

To me, if we do not respect ourselves, no body is going to respect us and this leads to different kinds of evil,, destroys the self-confidence and honor... again a nation without self-confidence/honor is bound to fall and fail to achieve any success on local or international level.

Re: On this Pakistan Day - 23rd March

My greetings to the Pakistani nation on this very important day.

I echo the statements of toleration and respect. We, as Pakistanis, have to rise up and show the world that we are indeed a great nation in the family of nations.

I know the odds are stacked against us, but that should not stop us from doing the right thing.

Re: On this Pakistan Day - 23rd March

Happy "Karardaad day".

May Pakistan live until the end of time.

May we all love our beautiful country

May we all rid ourselves from extremists amidst us

May Pakistan become the leader for world peace and free will for the people and religious and ethnic tolerance, and prosperity among all the citizens of this global village.

Ameen!

Summa Ameen!

I sincerely wish Pakistan all the best.
I hope the day comes in my lifetime when both leave the hate & mistrust of the past, between our two countries and prosper.
