Talat Hussain does not own Awaz TV. These commercial cable TVs do not do these promotional programs for free. Punjab Government or some sponsor must have paid for it. It looks like Talat Hussain is following written script.

That was ridiculous... My Sister in law got one from the CM. What has she done with it? The same thing she was doing with her old laptop!

Two of my cousins have got it. It was basically an event to buy off the youth, but that hasent made any impact.

Yes, it was a terrible personal marketing campaign run with public money. Would have been much better to set up computer labs with many more basic desktop computers in high schools. Still better than federal government though, where funds would have gone directly to Swiss banks.
Here is a CM, sitting in front of youth, taking questions on IT. We should at least commend that he's aware of what's going on in the world and trying (however badly) to bring some of it to Pakistan. Compare to another CM who said, "degree degree hoti hai.....". I doubt even Nawaz Sharif knows the difference between a dial-up connection and dsl.
