^Hanah kabaah is not the masjid, the masjid is the compound area surrounding it (masjid al harraam) and it does have minarets!

Though you do raise a good point, masjids may not neccasarily need minarets, i used to pray in a theatre in some countries during namaaz e eid becuase there were no Masjids so perhaps this is a question for Islamic scholars to address?

Khana Kaaba is the first house of Allah…ie the first Mosque. Holy Prophet SAW used to offer his prayers within the Khaana Kaaba.

But as we all agree the only importance is through cultural inheritance and not to do with Islamic requirements.
