Re: On Swiss minaret ban!
But I have heard the sound of bell in a Christian Church in Lahore.
In your reply, I can come up with thousands of news where muslims have been killed/humiliated by non-muslims, I can also give the examples of middle eastern countries where they pay Western people more money and give preference over locals, I can also give you the example of Western shops and restaurants being opened everywhere in the Islamic countries but this isn't the point of my thread.
The ban on minaret will not bring any change to the mistreatment of some minorities in Eastern countries nor it'd help the integration of different communities in West.
There are people like Tahir ul Qadri who are trying to make better relationships between Christians and Muslims in Pakistan, I think we need more people like him and also I think the media can do a lot to spread love and tolerance for each other but unfortunately it's not happening, same goes for the Western media.
Also, if there isn't a good reason then they should not put these restrictions on. There's a very old school building in UK and Muslims bought it and wanted to build minaret but few people didn't want to alter the building because it is a historical building and I'm totally in their favour and if there's a petition against altering that building, I'll sign it because there's a pretty good reason for it.
