Re: omg so people

13-17 is a peak time for drama, insecurity issues, and identity issues. It is also a time when a lot of people are at their most annoying because they deal with the above issues by putting others down and creating melodrama.

Don't give it too much thought, unless you want to calmly educate them about the implications of their claims. I doubt that will work tho. Most people just need to grow up.

Re: omg so people

Heheheheheee.... funny. That one reason why I hate this country. It breeds immature brats like that.

Re: omg so people

^ now now, these brats don’t realise what they are saying…chotay hain na :stuck_out_tongue:

Sehar - :k:

Re: omg so people

yh it just got to mee mainly cos like they disrespecting other ppl

Re: omg so people

Don't worry about it, they're only teenagers... i'd be more concerned/pissed off if it were college-aged, "grown-up" (20-somethings) saying the same thing..

I think anyone who is brought up in this country (or any west) goes through that phase at least once in their life..its normal to go through it in the high school age, but more troublesome if its n college/later...

Re: omg so people

I think it mainly stems from insecurities and wanting to ‘fit in’;what you are describing it quite widespread.Like everyone is saying…ignore their prejudicied views. Some of my own friends use words like ‘freshy’ etc..it irks me because our parents/descendants would have been classed with these terms:smack:but they forget that

Re: omg so people

hee i was like if i was a "freshie"i would slap their faces in lolz

Re: omg so people

lolzz

Re: omg so people

I think you mis understand the issue. First of all, the parents/grandparents of the girls in questions were probably over in this country legitimately, namely by visa waver offered to commonwealth residents in the 1950-60s to fill up the labour markets with competent and willing workers.

Secondly, this concept of "freshie" is not exclusively a "desi" one. The Afro-Caribbean community use the term equally as liberally. Also, there is a definite distinction between economic migrant and a "freshie". By virtue of living in your (excuse the prejudice) god-forsaken town, I'm sure you are well aware of the bad reputation that these individuals have brought unto them selves. They are mostly rude, uncouth and underhanded. T

It is not the fault of the girls that they are voicing the opinion of the majority, the newly migrated population need to look at themselves, if they are really so concerned about this (which I doubt) and change from within. As is always the case when fire leads to smoke, you need to get rid of the root cause.

The girls fashion sense was imo irrelevant as I do not think the young ladies primary incentive was to look like a white girl - but rather to look good and good is subjective.

Re: omg so people

wow posers. i woulda been like...... u friggen whitewashed pieces of trash.. do urself a favour and stop embarassing yerself.

Re: omg so people

Seriuosly though what really annoys me is that atleast pakistani ppl work for a living, most of these goray are claiming of the government- meaning our tax money. Do u know what really gets to me is though most of these ppl are just jealous its the whole they came to our country and are making more money than us.

I have to say though I always though britian was multiracial but there is still forms of racism even today which we fail to acknowledge or just ignore. Although if I was in this situation zayma I probably would have said something to those girls at the chips shop, give a real telling off and then leave
