Pakistan has won 10 olympic medals in its relatively short olympic history:

3 gold medals:

  • 1972 in Munich (the final between Germany and Pakistan caused a huge scandal at the medal cermony)

The Pakistani team was not happy with a number of decisions given by the refree during the final. As a result they felt they lost the gold medal due to incompetent refreeing. When the medal ceremony took place the Pakistani players took off their shoes and put the silver medals on it. As a result the Pakistani hockey team was banned from international matches for a number of years.

^ Since its been a number of years… can we now laugh at the whole thing, instead of just being politically correct and say either "You go boys! :k: " or "What bad losers! :nook: "

^^ Well actually the Argentine ref did give some very, very dodgy decisions. Pak was definitely the better team, even though Germany were playing at home.
