V. de Lima of Brazil was running very well in the later half of the Marathon & was the leader (45 seconds ahead of the pack)when one of the people(a European terrorsit) from the crowd grabbed him & took him out of the course for like 5-10 seconds…Lima was shattered while running a very good marathon…
How can one do that…Where is the security at olympics…This guys dreams for winning the marathon.,his months of work,all gone by some A… h…
Well he still had a 40-35 second lead to win.
^^ In marathon its not only the distance...or timing...It's the stamina & spirit...with which the runners run...if somebody grabs you & than drags you out of the course ...how would you even run???...Nobody has seen this kind of an incident in the last 100-110 years of modern Marathon...This is really poor administration & security at the olympics ....
Well he has already won the Bronze,but definitely he deserved the Gold...& at finish he was only + 1:16 sec behind the gold medal winner of Italy...
The guy who dragged the runner out of the course had these things written on a placard pasted on his back "ISRAEL, FULLFILMENT OF PROPHECY..."
Although V.de Lima took it very well at the end of the race,cheering the crowd as he entered the stadium...but that was his Sportmans Spirit rather then anything else...
Now someone tell me who were these olympic organizers worried about... Muslim terrorists or Israeli Lunatics??
You sure about the Israel thing, I just heard on the radio it was some Irish geezer, the same one who ran on to the F1 grand Prix race track at Silverstone last year.

Yep...i am sure of that Israeli thing on the placard(MSNBC announces it in their coverage),there were although some other things written on that placard....
You are right he is of an Irish decent & was also wearing greens & oranges of Ireland...... According to the media his name is Corrnelius Horran & he is or was an Irish Priest who arrived in Athens today????
Brazilian IOC Chairman has filed a protest to the olympic comittee that Lima should be given the Gold medal(& rightly so)....But that guy is sooo cool that in his interview ...he told that that he is happy with the Bronze...

Yep you are right...An Irish Priest...
My God...Last year he was at British Grand Prix at Silverstone too...& was running in the middle of the race track....Nobody put him in the jail in between....& this year he destroyed the Marathon...& above all he just arrived in Athens today...Who let him move around the world so easily..I never thought that Irish Priests end up like this:)

"The Grand Prix Priest. Israel Fulfillment of Prophecy Says The Bible. The Second Coming is Near."
He had a Star of David attached to his kilt.

De Lima has to settle for a bronze as the protest by his track federation has been rejected,by the olympic comittee.
After the race in his interview De Lima said,"I was scared, because I didn't know what could happen to me, whether he was armed with a knife, a revolver or something, and whether he was going to kill me," . "That's what cost me the gold medal."
Olympics are over & thanks God there wasn't any incident that could have again led to the blames against the muslims....I hope this calmness could work towards the world's peace (as Tony Blair & other leaders declared the truce during the Olympics) & also towards the awareness of tolerance towards each other...rather than creation of an Axis of Good against the Axis of evil...I pray that hope will prevail & we will try to understand each others beliefs & ideas...Next Olympics would be in China...& people are already saying that "these Olympics would be the most significant event in China's modern history(& may even bring a big change in its current ideology?)".
