Gold for Austria!
Kate Allen (AUT) wins the women´s triathlon => Austria´s first Gold Medal at the Olympics 2004 in Athens! :bhangra:
That was an amzing win. She came out of nowhere in the last 300 meters or so and overtook the Australian who had been leading all the way.

that's not bad at all considering their 20 million population vs. 270 million in the US and 1.3 billion in China.
Day 13

USA still on top.
^ still on top? They're impossible to catch at this point. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether or not they will reach their stated goal of 100 total medals. Also, there's speculation that China may lose their 2nd place ranking in gold medals to Russia based on the remaining events. USA kicks a$$ btw
And another GOLD for Austria!
Hans-Peter Steinacher and Roman Hagara have defended their olympic title of Sydney 2000 and have won the Gold Medal in
TORNADO Sailing

Around 20,500 sq Km of Turkey lies in Europe....
European Neighbours are:Bulgaria 240 km,Greece 206 km,Georgia 252 km.
