you will see Aussies in the race as the Olympics goes on - but in the end - it will come down to either U.S. or China as Olympics concludes....

First silver medal by any indian in a indivedual sports event.

I didnt see that comming, i thought , abhinav bindra, jitender kumar, jaspal rana or aparna popat will beg a medal each but all of them disappointed.
anyway, well done rathore.

USA is now occupying the top spot. Gold medals are equal but US leading in total tally. Australia and Japan are closing in.

He did!

Markus Rogan won Silver again, but for 20 minutes he was the Olympic Champion, as Aaron Piersol (USA) got disqualified. But then the disqualification was overturned and Piersol was awarded with the Gold medal. That caused a little controversy, but in the end everybody was happy (including Markus).

^ haha it was so funny .. in the end americans got their gold.

markus is such a good boy, he said friendship is better than any olympic medal.. :k: (both are good friends and from the same uni in cali)

disqualification was overturned because of some form mistake by the refree.

In TV they said the disqualification was taken back, because the referee filled the form in French and should have filled it in English according to the rules of the International Swimming Federation. For me that implies, that the disqualification was justified and only the language used on the relevant form was wrong. :smack:
