Olive Oil

What are all the benefits of olive oil and how do you use it?

I use it to cook and slather a ton of it sometimes before I go to bed all over my face. It takes care of any redness I may have.

Re: Olive Oil

I use it in my hair.

Re: Olive Oil

Its a very healthy oil, helps to lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol. Use it in salad dressings. I have cooked with it but I think the healthy properties of it are lost when you use high heat.

Re: Olive Oil

I use to take a sip before going running in winter.
My friend use olive oil in cooking.

Re: Olive Oil

Olive oil is extremely rich in Vitamin E.

Put it under the eyes. I actually started putting pure Vitamin E and A oil (combination) under my eyes. It's supposed to help prevent wrinkles and dark circles.

Re: Olive Oil

i put it on my body after taking bath......:D

Re: Olive Oil

rich in anti-oxidants vit A, E & K if i know truly

Re: Olive Oil

Okay, I dont want to smell like olive oil all day so putting it all over my body would be hard for me.

But I noticed great results when I used it on my face. I get redness on my cheeks, chin, sometimes around my nose because of god-only-knows-what-reason and it helps soooooo much with calming my face down.

I will also try to use it under my eyes more...see what happens.

i mix a bit of olive oil with salt and use it as a body scrub then rinse it off, it doesnt smell, and makes the skin nice and soft

Re: Olive Oil

Aloe vera gel will cool your skin down too if you get any rashes/red blotches on it. Whatever you do, never put a hydrocortizone on your face to deal with any sensitivity (i.e. eczema) cause it will cause wrinkles.

speaking of eczema there was a study and many people got benefits from applying olive oil, but even more so than that it was coconut oil that rescued a lot of people from eczema. I have also read that oolong tea helps and i know that is suppose to help ease seasonal allergies.

Re: Olive Oil

its best for massage when you have cramped legs!
