when somebody gives you olet answer like when you ask them politely

they claim: i am.
no, i meant, how are you doing?
i am doing nothing at this time.

how do you deal with such a person?
Yep, its really annoying and I usually delete people like these from my list of pals, well the best way is to save our own time and thank them and move on, ... we may miss one but we should not miss a good one so utilize that time with some normal and decent person!

whenever I meet such people, I start copying them whatever they say. It annoys the hell out of them

I think when people do this - they can't make it anymore clear that they do not wish to carry on any sort of discussion with you. Most times, it works well. :)

If i come across any such sort of people,i would usually ignore them,and wouldn't bother to waste time on them.
