Old Wives Tales

Re: Old Wives Tales

^ Unless he didn't want his son's antics to look too odd, so made it up???? lol

Re: Old Wives Tales

^ LOL nah. He doesn't care about that. His son is hilarious and cooky and odd, in a good way. No one is worried about that :D

Re: Old Wives Tales

i carried low and had a pointy stomach so everyoen said it was gonna be a boy and a boy it was.. i was also HUGE.. by the end of my pregnancy the midwife and everyone else were sure taht i was carrying multiples but they just couldnt be seen in scans... at delivery they had multiple baby beds ready too :D

... though a friend of mine had the exact same stomach adn shocked all the buddi tuddi aunties by going onto having a girl. in ure face wise women

and eating coconut will make the baby white... erm no.. if ure black and ure hsuband is black ure gonna have a black kid.. u could drink bleach and it wouldnt make a diff... a friend of mine drank and ate and bathed in coconut.. still had a dark child.

thruout my pregnancy i craved to have a craving.. my husband would keep askin if today would be the day i wanted imli or something sour.. 10 months and not a day of craving for anything.

chalo.. better luck next time so i can suck on an imli and blush like a stupid bollywood herione in some movie after making the claim meri koak mein bacha hai

Re: Old Wives Tales

^i have heard that coconut ka pani actually makes you produce a dark child :konfused:

the caucasians should be told about this.. easy method for a tanned child.

Re: Old Wives Tales

my MIL says that (I don't believe on it !) that if a pregnant woman when walking puts her right foot infront first then it's a boy and if left first then it's a girl. someone else has to notice that which foot the woman puts first unknowingly & randomly. she says it always turned out correct for her.

Your MIL has time to share her superstitions with you but she doesn't have the time to respect you or even her own son for that matter. Your MIL deserves to be kicked with both of your feet. Of course that's just wishful thinking, hehe. Thank God, you're above that and would never stoop to the level of your in-laws.

Re: Old Wives Tales

WOW. these are amusing.

Has anyone ever tried the wedding ring on a thread method…here’s how:

Needle or Wedding Ring Gender Prediction Method

I tried it just for fun…and I got a boy, girl, boy, girl and then the ring just stands still…which is freaky lol…I did it 4-5 times and it came out to be the same thing…I mean 4 kids!! and here I am thinking just this one is enough… haha!

Re: Old Wives Tales

I have heard people saying that whatever/whoever you look at or think about most, your baby is going to look like that person.

Re: Old Wives Tales

I haven't read all the posts so sorry if this is repeating some of them...

The two that spring to mind is the one about morning sickness. Little or none, indicates a boy

If you have a lot of indigestion during preganancy, your baby will have a full head of hair.

I can't think of any others. Will have to ask my Mum..

Re: Old Wives Tales
