Old Wives Tales

Probably. Also maybe because it's the rainy season and everything gets contaminated???

Re: Old Wives Tales

well fish live in water, and unless it's been raining mercury from the sky for a while, i don't think it would matter that it's the rainy seasons =/

Re: Old Wives Tales

Hmmmm. Makes sense. Perfectement.

I remember when I was 7 or 8, I accidently swallowed one of the cheeku seeds and I said omg dad, what do I do now? He and my mom looked at each other and said nothing, a tree will now grow out of you. I couldn’t sleep the entire night thinking how a tree will fit inside my body :bummer: After that, I didn’t even swallow orange seeds until I was 19 or something.

Oh come here girl…lemme hug you!

Re: Old Wives Tales

some i've heard from superstitious family members, they don't really make sense to me:

  • don't wear black when it rains
  • no fish and milk together
  • nail clippings should be thrown in water (and flushed down toilet), not the garbage can
  • no music after maghrib
  • no vacuuming or jharoo phering after maghrib
  • don't walk under trees with your hair open

Hence why it was added to the precious gems of old wives tales.

:hugz:

oh yeah i heard that too. for women, not to walk under trees with hair open at magrhib time. otherwise jinn charh jaata hai :o
