Old Superstitions

Re: Old Superstitions

^ Well, that makes me pretty unclean.

Speaking of scissor - another one is "Don't keep a kaynchi khuli - brings bad luck"

Re: Old Superstitions

  1. If you play with scissors, there’s going to be a fight.

  2. while combing your hair, the comb falls down, guests are going to come.

  3. beth kar paaon nahin hilaaney chahiey warna karza charrhta hai…

  4. If its raining while its sunny, geedars are getting married :konfused:

  5. You shouldnt sleep under a tree at night or you’ll be possessed by jinns.

tonns more that I cant remember right now.

Re: Old Superstitions

You shouldn't pee under a tree or you'll get possessed by a jinn. I had sketched out a movie plot based on that superstition, but down came my desire to conquer lollywood when I saw Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua.

Re: Old Superstitions

^ lol. I love peeing under the trees. Aiming at the bugs. Making smilie faces. its cool.

Re: Old Superstitions

Well you guys see it makes sense to link almost every action to the arrival of guests since, well, desi culture is the champion of uninvited guests.

As for the walking around plants after maghrib im sure everyone knows plants give out CO2 at night and hence not very healthy to walk around them.. not that it'd kill you but theres been occurences of people fainting and what not.

Another thing kids are always told is that at night while youre sleeping satan takes a piss in your mouth so its important to brush your teeth in the morning.
