Old paid off Bills

What do u do em once they’re paid? like bills from 2-3 months ago that have been paid off? is it ok to throw em away?

get a little file folder or a bankers box. it doesn't take much space. i keep em usually for a year, sometimes more depending on what its for.

LOL, Sara cards are good. just keep paying the minimum due and you will build up your credit.

i meant if she cant pay it all, then pay the minimum. if you can pay more then that is the right thing to do.

i always put bills off and then 2-3 months later they pile up and i hav to get ammi or dad to bail me out. :( Either i'm gnna get a job or cut off these cards/accounts..

I usually take care of bills for at least a year and i put them in file.Then i shred them.Try to pay your bill every month

Control your shopping, put away the cards and don't use them, get more regular at paying bills, start a diary, whatever pocket money you get make a budget and stick to it... in short organize yourself....get those bankers boxes.

I have started scanning my old bills into a specific folder on my PC.
Drawers cluttered with this stuff were doing my head in!

Now once they are paid/checked, all I do is scan them and shred the originals. Sometimes you need touse them for ID etc, so you can just print the one you need.
Every now and then empty the folder on your PC.
Also, many Credit Card companies and banks these days offer you no paper bills in exchange for online bills emailed to you...maybe you could check this out?

I have every pay-stub I ever got and boxes of files in my attic of every bill I ever paid, receipts for every larger purchase I ever made. Ack. I think I really overdo it. I was thinking that if I ever got audited by the IRS, they can go back 7 years so best to keep this stuff.
