It has happened, a few years ago in France they were excavating this old graveyard to make room for a motorway and some of the coffins they dug up had finger scratch marks on the inside of the lid.
I know of an incident in Pakistan to, in the olden days when they buried someone they buried their jewellery and belongings with them, this wealthy woman died and that’s what they did, later that night a man went to dig out the treasure from her grave and found her alive and the scare of it made him unconscious and she got out and came back home with a shroud wrapped around her, her family thought it was a demon (jinn) and wouldn’t let her in but she said to give her at least some clothes so she can cover herself properly.
They say it’s not uncommon for even genuinely dead corpses to move about, because the signals from their brains are still moving around in them from when they were alive they can move a limb or two or jerk up and sit in an upright position even when they’re dead, my friends dad is an undertaker and talks about many such incidents, it’s probably not far fetched to say corpses can walk too.. Oh my God what's that looking over your shoulder??
