Re: Old is Gold!!
I can agree with that, but the thing is that where there’s fire, there’s smoke.
While it would be unfair to label them as taking drugs, even if for once, a tryout, there were some pretty conflicting reports at that time. And frankly, these two bad boys had to be at the center of it all, no one ever said that other members of that Pakistan team dabbed with drugs at that time.
Having said that, bad as it sounds, I can’t blame them if they smoke some green, once. Injecting banned substances to improve performance (and gain an unfair advantage over other competing athletes) is a lot worse in my eyes. Sadly, this is one of those things where we may never know the truth about, unless someone writes a book.
But my point was, which I am sure you understood, was that even good guys have some gray areas. Not everyone is white all the time. Or black for that matter. And that’s what makes them human. What we shouldn’t do, however, is paint them as such. Make celebrities out to be people who can do no wrong. Because, as the end of the day, they are human beings, just like you, me, and everyone reading this.
