Old Days Of KK

Looks like old days of KK are coming back, something that has been one of the strong points of GS.

Wow, cant keep up with posting.

Re: Old Days Of KK

yeah man :jhanda:

Re: Old Days Of KK

we used to have over a 1000 posts before the match started and during the match, especially ODI's you could end up wiht 2000 posts in one day and it was very tough to keep up with the speed of the posts.

Re: Old Days Of KK

A lot of fans turned away because of recent team performances on and off the field. But hopefully this victory will bring them back. You got to support your team in good and bad times.

Re: Old Days Of KK

i remember those days......and was part of those 2000 posts...still remember india pak series in 2005 in India when pakistan beat india 4-2 in ODI and won the last test match as well....the mood and spirit at KK was unbelievable....a lot of those guppies have disappeared, some were banned and some became inactive at KK....

Re: Old Days Of KK

Yep, when i was at work, i could see the score updated quickly on KK than on anyother website covering the match live.

The main reason i think is the decline of Pakistan cricket.

Re: Old Days Of KK

yup when our team wins v r more active

PD I remember the Pakistan India series because that's when I joined GS. I remember we used to be active here even when Pakistan was not playing.

Re: Old Days Of KK

^ I agree. Whenever cricket was not being played we would keep the forum alive. And frankly, its good to see more and more old names posting back on gs (including myself). Hope to see the trend continue.

That is true khan....the forum used to be very active for aus-india series as well.....still remember aus-india series of 2003 which I followed at GS... ehsan used to be the moderator...in the first test match, ganguly scored 150 and set the tone for the series....after that test match, india never looked back as far Australia is concerned…

Re: Old Days Of KK

yayy phoenix.. go India !! down with the kangarooos !!!

india won the most games against aus compared to any other country since 2000 i think..

That may be true…it is interesting how Indian and apkistani teams react to historical performances….these performances almost act as a pivotal point for these two teams...miandad's last ball six against india...after that match for next 10 years or so, pakistan had a mental advantage over india....ganguly's 148 against Aussies in brisbane 2003 is another example...coming into this test the Indian captain faced a lot of criticism for his vulnerability against fast bowling. Brisbane is a quick wicket.... This was the first test match, and the memories of the last test series in Australia (a 3-0 loss for India) were afresh in everybody's memory..ganguly scored 148 and changed the whole scenario...indians pushed aussies in every series thereafter....
