Alas! Woe betide me, but those are too pretty by half to be the feet of mine!

Re: Ok, who's next?

Mad S, your feet have created a long lasting impression on the people here, do you hobbit type feet?

The above feet arent bad and they are nail polished, do you were nail polish on your toes?

Re: Ok, who’s next?

OMG!!! Finally we have ugliest feet contender for MS

Re: Ok, who's next?

I do believe we have a match! There is someone for everyone! And no, putting nail polish on MSs toes would be like putting lipstick on a pig.....

Re: Ok, who’s next?

You are to easy to poke fun at. I understand it might be a culture thing but it sounds likeyou’re a little boy talking about a puppy dog, grow some balls and go find your own biatch.

Re: Ok, who's next?

^^ UTD, you are so Grumpy lately..... Geez...

Re: Ok, who’s next?

Not at all. I would be not be happy if my kids tried to find their own spouses, because I want to choose who they marry, and above all I would not be happy with them if they dated.

It would be hypocritical of me to act in a way that runs contradictory to how I want my kids to act. If I find my own spouse, then I think I would forfeit the right to oppose my kids from finding their own.

Unlike you, I come from a culture that maintains that parents know better than their children what is good for their children. That includes marriage.

In this day and age, I am proud to be able to have the willpower to continue what has been a tradition amongst my family and amongst my people for centuries, when many of my own people and even family are being dazzled by the West and grasping the West’s values on marriage.

Re: Ok, who’s next?

^ maddie, oh come on!

You’re a smart guy. You can make good choices on your own…

Just think with…erm…your brain.

Re: Ok, who’s next?

Certainly, I believe that I can make smart choices.

I know, though, as a parent I would not trust my kids to make smart choices. I’m a cynic in many ways, I have seen too many kids from too many good families make bad choices. The solution, to maximise the chances of my kids NOT making a bad choic, is to deny them choice altogether (apart from their having the right to veto anyone I suggest). They should only get pre-screened candidates … pre-screened by me and my future wife (inshallah).

I will be thus opposing any effort by my kids to choose their own spouse rather than have me select one for them. I lose the moral right to do that if I choose my own spouse rather than letting my parents do it.

Furthermore, I know that it is extremely important to my mother to choose my wife, it is something that she has looked forward to doing for a long time (when the time is right) and if I were to take that away from her it would hurt her deeply. I would cheerfully forfeit choosing my wife in order to keep my parents happy. I believe that a Reward would await me one Day for showing them this respect.

Re: Ok, who's next?

Well Done, Mad Scientist for standing up for your convictions and not jumping on the wishy washy i must appear to look modern bandwagon

Re: Ok, who's next?

Maddy - I don't agree that parents always make the right choice. My aunt picked all three of her bahoos and she equally hates them all. And to be quite honest, I think the sons deserved better than what they are stuck with.

Re: Ok, who's next?

perhaps Mad S's parents have better judgment than your Aunt.

Re: Ok, who's next?

I didn't say she has better or worse judgment than Mad's parents. I said, parents don't always make the right choice.

Re: Ok, who's next?

sometimes they do.....so whats the point really?
