nice speaking, great keep it up,,, in today world we can see that there a lot of people they are Muslims , but by name only, this means they don't know Islam exactly, don't have full knowledge about Islam and Quran. so they must have to focus on Islam and QUran, to correct what they are doing wrong, or what they are doing which is not, in Islam.
Sussana, let me ask you a question, if a person practicies hinduism does it mean he/she is a pandit or if a person is a christian believer does it mean he/she is expected to know all the bible in and out and may be able to quote it?
If you are a believer, there are guildines for the one to follow to practice the religon. There are scholars that spend significant time and efforts to get in depth knowledge about different aspects of religion. You can't expect to go to a chat forum and expect fellow guppies to answer your religous concerns, if one has some serious concerns he/she should go to a aalim or scholar to get the answers.
I have quote the following answer from an aalim network and I believe it does a good job explaining why music can be haram.
Generally speaking, music is deemed to be haram due to it's effects on a
person's soul and the possible effects on morals. It is also very addictive
and can lead to a person indulging in vain things which can make him lose
his purpose in life. I have observed the society around and am sure that the
gradual decadence of moral behaviour is based on 3 elements: Alcohol,
womanizing and music. You will observe this especially when you go to
Universities and colleges.
I used to like a few bands in Pakistan, even Noor Jahan - are you saying that under islam they are all 'hara mi's?
What about the patriotic songs in Pakistan - again 'haram'? sung by har ami's?
No wonder the poor pakistani 'singers & musical instuments players' want to come to India.
you're really a smart one, aren't you? It must have taken lots of wisdom & knowledge to equate impermissible with bast@rd. Nice try but please come again - it seems your hatred & prejudice isn't enough yet.
Why is music haram? Has anyone tried to analyze this rationally?
I understand anything done in excess is bad, but listening to good music is such an uplifting experience! Why is it denied to Muslims? How does listening to music make you bad?
I was only trying to point out to these "pure' muslims, to stop bringing religion in everything..
Pakistan is losing all their exceptionally talented "singers & musicians" to India.
What choice do they have - you condemn them if they go abroad, and 'hate' them if they come to India to make a living.

"Pure' Muslims dont **bring **religion in everything...rather Islam is Supreme and covers each and every aspect of their lives, a complete code of life indeed. They cant choose what they find easy to practice and leave the rest what's difficult and require efforts by innovating something.

Most music promote Sex that is why in Islam leave Music aside even Romantic Poetry is forbidden

I firmly disagree with this and I'm sorry you think this way. By sex I'm assuming you mean adultery and not sex with one's spouse. Are you saying the rest of the world listens to music and goes on a sex spree? That is why I asked if someone has analyzed this rationally.

Lucymay not goes on sex spree but Islam doesn't allow promotion of sex sir that is why romantic poetry is prohibited in Islam
