Also I have stopped using tretinoin 3 months ago and am.now.doing only lactic.peels once a week.is that enough exfoliation? Or should I do.more.and with what?

Acneic skin :frowning:

Thanks guys

It's Ramzan and you may be dehydrated, hence the dry flakiness despite being oily. Give lactic a rest, it can be strong.

Re: oily skin but.make up looks dry/ flaky?

1) How often do you moisturize and using what? Do you put the moisturizer under your primer and foundation?

2) 1x/week LA peel might be too much for your skin. Try decreasing it to once every 2 weeks. And get a very gentle scrub to manually exfoliate in between. So your routine would be:

Week 1 = LA peel
Week 2 = Using scrub once gently
Week 3 = LA peel etc..

Don't use a primer? Should I?.feels like too much.moisturiser.primer sunscreen etc

What manual exfoliation do.u recommend?

Thanks

Your skin is actually dry on the inside and making oils as a defence. And all the lactic acid peels, etc are not going to help.
Go a few days without makeup if you can. Let your skin breathe.

Avoid hot water when washing your face and use a light moisturizer. Switch to a sensitive skin cleaner.

Your skin will adjust, I would keep the exfoliation to a minimum for a few days, it seems like your skin underneath is dry. Drink a lot of water!
If you can get your hands on Polynesian oil - it's for the face. It treats acne, can be used as a moisturizer and is perfect to use as a primer for applying makeup. It will also help with the flakiness you experience when applying makeup.
You can find it at most organic type of stores and even in some natural beauty stores.

Clinique products are very good. They have different toners and oil free moisturizers, as well as make up for your skin type.

clinique oil free moisturizer is indeed very good for oily skin

You can use a gentle facial scrub to exfoliate your skin. Gently scrub at the areas that are flaky and dry with only your fingertips then wash it off. You can also make your own facial scrub by using honey and sugar mix this two ingredients together and use it as a facial scrub. Keep your skin hydrated and moisturize by drinking 8-10 glasses of water every day.
