Oiling hair

This is something bothering me alot and I need to ask if it happens to you guys as well. Everytime I am done oiling my hair, so much hair falls out. I always use a comb before to detangle it but even then once finished with oiling, there are still strands falling off. I don’t massage it in rigorously either. Is this normal? :bummer:

Re: Oiling hair

Same here! so much so that it puts u off of oiling right? but idk..i still keep going. i dont let it bug me any more :bummer:

Re: Oiling hair

yeah same here even when i wash out the oil a lot of hair comes off

Re: Oiling hair

^ Yeah but then somehwo when i'm washing it and combing and afterwards...alot less falls out than if i hadn't oiled it in the first place.

Re: Oiling hair

yes it happens to me too :D lol Shikra bhai what do you say?

Re: Oiling hair

^^ you don't want him to say anything...lol...

hmm I haven't oiled my hair for quite sometime...almost like few years...so don't know lolz...

Re: Oiling hair

Yeah i've noticed the same thing, but i guess u have to keep on oiling ur hair and it gradually doesn't fall as much

Re: Oiling hair

I notice if I don't shower everyday, more hair falls when I finally wash my hair. What's up with that?

Re: Oiling hair

How many times a week do u wash ur hair?

Re: Oiling hair

well its true cuz if u dont wash ur hair the pores get clogged causing hairfall

so its beter to wash hair everyday if not possible then alternate days

but dont leave ue hair unwashed for more than 2 days

and if u have oily hair then try washing everyday

Re: Oiling hair

Hubby never oiled his hair for the very same reason, until I walked into his life :-)

The trick is to use only the tips of your fingers to apply oil in the scalp. Then don't try to rub the oil in, not even mildly. Just use your finger tips to apply mild pressure on scalp and move the scalp in round motions without letting your finger tips leave their place.

Hope I don't sound confusing..

Re: Oiling hair

like every morning when i shower. but now i have stopped using shampoo everyday, now i do it every second day unless i have applied oil the night before. i think the shampoo everyday and hot water ruined my hair :(

Re: Oiling hair

And guys whats the best oil to use?? I heard mustard oil is widely used back home and is recommended but a lot of people use almond oil or coconut oil

Re: Oiling hair

You shouldn’t wash ur hair everyday, it makes your hair brittle esp. with all the chemicals in the shampoo. The water shouldn’t be boiling hot (so that it burns ur scalp :cb:) Caryy on the way u are going right now

Re: Oiling hair

Only use mild warm water to wash your hair. Never use hot water, it's not good at all. After conditioning, use cold water even if it is just to rinse it out. If you wash your hair everyday and want to use shampoo then go with johnson's baby shampoo as it's super mild and will not damage your hair. You should only use the heavy duty shampoos once or twice a week and if you need to use more than that, you should go with a very mild one. Also, make sure to use a clarifying shampoo atleast once in two weeks.

Re: Oiling hair

Exactly, the more u oil ure hair over time the less falls out when u wash the oil out

Re: Oiling hair

i will recomend olive oil its not very sticky which doesnt make it hard to wash

so u will use less shampoo

and i agree with masi museebtay

u shudnt rub the oil on ur scalp just lightly dab oil with ur fingertips on the root of hair

and lightly apply to rest of hair

if u wanna cut on ur shampoo then dont apply oil to all of hair just in the roots

and dont let oil sit in ur hair for more than 5-6 hours
