OK…this thread got so dense…so let me share something light and interesting which is somewhat relevant to the topic…now you can say hey PD you are bul****ting and making it up but that is what happened to me last night!!!
I am vacationing on a small island somewhere in south east Asia (last day and need to get back to work this monday…depression!) … i got into a tuk-tuk last night to get back to my hotel. The driver was a young boy who started talking to me…typical questions: where are you from blah blah… i told him that i am from Pakistan…and he immediately said salam alaikum.
He turned out to be a muslim boy…i didnt expect to bump into a Muslim boy @ 2AM on a small island ! We exchanged salams and he immediately reduced my fair by 20% (awesome… see the muslim community concept does work!). The next question from him: so is bin laden dead? and i said yes he is.
He was visibly disappointed and asked me again if i am sure… i said i am 100% sure that laden is dead and asked him why? he said that he thinks that bin laden is alive and that Americans are bul-ting…i just took a deep sigh..looks like this conspiracy theory mindset is a common denominator in every muslim! anyway i told him that most likely Americans are not bul
I then asked him if he likes USA…he immediately said No and declared in a strong tone that USA is bad, It wants oil and this whole war on terrorism plus Afghanistan and iraq wars were all about oil…USA wants more and more oil!
and i immediately thought about this thread… it is all about oil and my muslim tuk tuk driver friend confirmed it as well @ 2 AM last nite!!!
do we need any other proof…
You are saying that muslims are ignorant and believe in conspiracy theories, and you yourself are very intelligent and progress and hence you don’t.
You failed to take into account what was discussed beforehand, which did not suit your viewpoint. You also failed to take into account that before any “ignorant” muslim picked up on the importance of oil to US it was westerner writers and intellects that highlighted this issue.
