I have seen horror in peoples eyes when they see a girl who has a voice or can voice her concerns.
Am i the only one?

Re: oh the horror
Concerns like what Rolla?
Re: oh the horror
You're right, Rolla. Some people still believe that women should be seen and not heard and view the bold discussion of issues (even if it is done respectfully) as her being too modern, or immoral, or disrespectful, etc. Maybe it's easier for such people to attack the woman's character ....because it would require MORE courage on their part to not only listen to someone challening their beliefs but to also question their views. Sometimes when it's hard for people to come up with a valid refutation....it's easier for them to evade by attacking character. Sad, but true. They create a "rolla" out of it. Then again, this reaction is not only confined to women.

Re: oh the horror
i know what you are talking about and i agree. There are men who deep down still believe that women should not voice their opinion. But that should NOT stop us from saying what we believe in.

^There are ALSO women who share this view. Surely, you can think of some aunties who'd say "Haaw...kitni badtameez hai"...if a girl was to voice concerns about an issue....because maybe it comes into conflict with how they were brought up or they don't want to be challenged. Heck, you may even find girls of the younger generation with such views.
Re: oh the horror
BTW...there is difference between having your voice/opinion heard...........and people agreeing to it/acting upon it........ juss sayin
