i caught myself saying things like

“open/close the light”

“slow the volume”

urdu, what are you doing to my perfect english???

and when did i start to sound like my mama?

I remember once when I was talking to this German colleague of mine. I was a bit too involved in the topic and at a point of time, I had to comment about another guy who invited trouble himself. In a hurry, I was about to say an Urdu saying and instead translated it as "Come bull, hit me"

OK now laugh, people :D
