Re: oh no…there’s a wedding coming up
Calories are just a unit of energy in the body. If you are trying to lose weight, you can use fat for energy instead (which is essentially what happens when you are trying to lose weight). Whatever energy-enriched molecule circulating through your blood (calories) is what fuels your exercise. It lasts a short time, and after it depletes, the body breaks down fat for energy (which is your goal, isn’t it?). The only thing you need to be concerned about is ingesting the proper amounts of other essential nutrients (i.e. proteins & vitamins). Reduce caloric intake as much as possible for quicker results. The metabolism of fat will yield even more energy for your workouts than your actual diet.
Also, I forgot to add earlier.. rope-skipping is much more intense and might take a while to “get used to it” since most beginners seem to get tired within a couple of minutes. But since you say you’ve built up stamina, you may last longer. Let me know how it goes if you decide to skip rope.
