Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly said he is yet to decide whether he would don shirt number 99 throughout the World Cup or switch over to number 24 in the remaining matches.
“I’m yet to decide whether to continue wearing number 99. I have another choice – number 24. Let’s see…” Ganguly said in an interactive column with readers of the Bengali daily Ananda Bazar Patrika on Tuesday.
**Ganguly said he had decided on 99 after he was made skipper and an astrologer suggested that the number would bring good luck to his side.
“I was told that my team would win finals of major tournaments. Then I opted for it,” he said.**
Ganguly had played the 1999 World Cup in England wearing shirt number one.
lets hope he doesnt do that warna hamari put put hojayay gi . Atleast he is not all at "clueless"as he claimed to be

I think Ganguly has bigger problems than deciding on what shirt number he should wear.

Everyone wants Ganguly to go down the order but he is still "yet to decide" which shirt he should wear.
He is being really stubborn. The simple solution that miht work is to let Tendulakar and Shewag to open. Considering his lack of form why he wants to open so bad?Mnay experts believe that lowering Ganguly in batting order would turn out to be good for him.
Sherybaba - Instead of looking for stories on shirts and pants you should have read the match preview on BBC. Ganguly’s batting order has been changed and he’s coming at No. 4. Once again a captain should lead by example but that doesn’t mean that only he is responsible for the Indian loss. There are 10 more players who didn’t play well as well.
*"Captain Sourav Ganguly will demote himself from the role of opening batsman for India’s clash against Zimbabwe.
Sachin Tendulkar will be joined at the top of the order by Virender Sehwag, who batted at number three in the first two games.
The third spot will be taken by Dinesh Mongia with Ganguly coming in at four. "*
It's about time Ganguly demotes himself. The damage has already been done. He should never have opened against the Aussies. Now, he has no choice. Too much pressure on him to come down th eorder. Even the team members are asking him. This is really embarrassing if others tell you what to do.
You start shedding tears when something remotely bad is said about the indian cricket team, but this time carry out your usual whining infront of Rediff and not sherrykaka, who posted the article… Its clear that most indians are fedup with this team already, as evident by this article… Btw, I knew an indian here, who was so sure india was going to beat australia, that now he cannot even face me, and has declared he is not going to waste time following india’s cup campaign.
