(sorry bout the really bad grammar.. i rushed it!)
Sadzzz, just curious, what are you looking for?
my hubby was my first rishta so I don't know how this whole rishta thing works. I guess it must be uncomfortable for both parties, that whole chai thing and stuff and the process.

no i wasn't gonna say that :) Yeah I knew him well beforehand, it was a "love marriage". Anyway, good luck.
SS, ur right, and u are lucky to have found such a great husband so soon mashallah, but like sadzz said, it’s different if the guy has no job and you’ve known him for a while, as opposedto him proposing to you, with no job, though i’m nto exactly sure of ur situtation. But anyway, i don’t think the issue is a lack of a job, or not-so-good looks. neither she nor her dad or brother have a good feeling about the guy, and that is usually a good indicator of whether to pursue something or not.
PS: i don’t think it’s shallow to want someone good-looking. i can go off on a tangent
but ill spare u guys. i think it’s very understandable that u wud not want to retch at the site of a future husband to be. however, what is and isn’t attractive, that answer varies within everyone.

just be open and upfront with the guy's family - and perferably the guy himself. at least afford him the dignity of getting rejected to the face.
