I am a master degree holder from Punjab University living abroad and I need official transcripts of M.A. & B.A. In sealed envelope with registrar signature on it for submitting to a university for admission and one set for degree evaluation purpose. Could some one guide me in this respect what’s the procedure, fee and how long will it take. Especially if someone lives in Lahore and willing to help me I greatly appreciate it.

newguy, did u get a result card before getting your degree ? If you did, that is ur official transcript.
Make a photocopy of them & ask your brother or a relative to take it to Uni to have it stamp from them & then send it sealed from their. PU will charge for this service but I know someone who has done it.

I am in Montreal and yeh I have my result cards and degrees for both b M.A. & B.A . Najim thanks a lot for kind information but are you sure that a photocopy of result card with stamp on it is acceptable to foreign universities.

Well send your degrees to an equilancy(spell?) place and they will evaluate your degrees. Ask them to mail one copy to you for your records and one to the university. If you don't ask them to send a copy to university, then DO NOT OPEN THE COPY YOU GET. Just take that package to your university. Ask the person at registrars to open it and give you back your orignals. But it would be better if you ask the equilancy place to send one copy directly to your university.
Yes send you BA and MA degrees and result card to the equlancy place.
Ask your university to give you the information. Tell them you have a foriegn degree and you need to get that evaluated. They will either give you the contact info that place or the form you can fill and send it with your degrees and money.

Usually Universities in USA/Canada & Europe has a list mentioning the value of Pakistani degrees. So going through equivalency procedure will be costly & time consuming. Check with ur prospective uni if they accept ur degree & then go through the procedure I mentioned above.
