Have not seen the original, only a few pics of it. I’m guessing that the original movie did not require grand locations or that rekha should wear bright, outlandish clothing to help make the movie a success. It was likely based on a strong storyline and good acting. The dialogs uttered by Sonam in the trailer don’t reflect a lot of emotion…it’s like she’s just saying words either in a loud and hurried voice or a slow voice, but not with emotion. Like if she says a dialog that is meant to sound frustrated while complaining to her mom, she doesn’t sound frustrated. And the setting and clothes are not enough of to distract ALL of the audience (maybe some of them) from weak acting. Maybe the rest of the film will showcase stronger delivery from Sonam (not just strong dance moves), but not too hopeful based on trailer.
