Hmm. Not a Sonam Kapoor fan, but let's see how she performs in a lead role; it's a huge responsibility. I'm surprised Fawad Khan took the offer considering his role is more of a supporting one.

yup. But I liked her movie with Dhanush better - Ranjhanna. Very different type of story, but of course her acting was just okay in it.

Rekha starred in the 1980 movie, Khoobsurat, in which she played the lead role. Rakesh Roshan played her husband, but Rekha was the main character, the one who propelled the story line. Sonam's movie is basically a modern version of the 1980 Khoobsurat.

I didn't like her acting in the trailer, aur yeh sirf trailer tha...poori film kaisi hogi. :/

The original is very simple, sweet and reminds you of home. This is a contrived mess. Fawad is going to be a glorified sidekick. Sonam's clothes will cause an epilepsy attack. Meh.

Have not seen the original, only a few pics of it. I'm guessing that the original movie did not require grand locations or that rekha should wear bright, outlandish clothing to help make the movie a success. It was likely based on a strong storyline and good acting. The dialogs uttered by Sonam in the trailer don't reflect a lot of emotion...it's like she's just saying words either in a loud and hurried voice or a slow voice, but not with emotion. Like if she says a dialog that is meant to sound frustrated while complaining to her mom, she doesn't sound frustrated. And the setting and clothes are not enough of to distract ALL of the audience (maybe some of them) from weak acting. Maybe the rest of the film will showcase stronger delivery from Sonam (not just strong dance moves), but not too hopeful based on trailer.

Logon ko pagal bana kar chala gya k movie achi hai par Trailer say hi pata chal gya i know Fawadian fans to isay bura nahen kahen gay but reality accept karni ho gi unhen k ye movie just bakwas hai. Is say acha tha Pakistani movie hi kar leta. Shaan was ri8 hamaray stars ko wahan C-Grade Hero ban kar kam karnay mein maza ata hai.
