For the 11th year now, the makers of Gran Turismo will be choosing some of the most interesting and outlandish cars and trucks from the SEMA show in Las Vegas, to digitally render and immortalize for “an upcoming game.” Being as the newest title on Polyphony’s docket would seem to be Gran Turismo 6](http://www.autoblog.com/tag/gran+turismo+6/), we imagine that the SEMA contestants for this Gran Turismo Award could end up as an especially sweet piece of downloadable content therein.
While the makers of GT have been attending the show and highlighting SEMA vehicles for quite a while now, this is the first year that the studio is opening up the contest to public voting. In addition to the five standard categories for the Grand Turismo Awards - Best Truck or SUV, Best Hot Rod, Best Domestic Automobile, Best European Import and Best Asian Import - there is a new People’s Choice Award.
To vote for your favorite SEMA car (or the one you’d like most to virtually drive), you should click over to the *Gran Turismo *Facebook page](Facebook) on November 5. After the first day of the SEMA show, the GT masterminds will populate that page with the official nominees for the award.
And, if you happen to be bringing your own spectacular auto creation to Las Vegas this year, you still have time to fill out the submission application for the GT Awards, too.
