Official: Gran Turismo 6 will use GPS to recreate your morning commute as a course

Perhaps one of the most highly anticipated features in Polyphony’s upcoming installment of the Gran Turismo](http://www.autoblog.com/tag/gran+turismo) franchise is its track creator. We played around with a version of this in GT5, and while it was quite cool, it did leave something to be desired. It’s safe to say the track creator in Gran Turismo 6](http://www.autoblog.com/tag/gran+turismo+6/) will be far more versatile.

At some point after the game’s launch, players will be able to download a GPS-enabled app to their smartphones. Turn it on while on your choice of road, and the app tracks elevation and GPS coordinates to create a replica of the road in the game. That’s right, you can essentially add any road on the planet into GT6.

As Road and Track](http://www.roadandtrack.com/go/pop-culture/recreating-backroad-or-commute-in-gran-turismo-6) points out, the possibilities are nearly endless. The Transf
