[Lexus](http://www.autoblog.com/make/lexus) is cranking up the performance and visual appeal of its [CT 200h](http://www.autoblog.com/model/ct+200h) for 2012 with the addition of an optional [F Sport](http://green.autoblog.com/tag/f+sport/) package available only on the Premium version of the hybrid hatch. The CT 200h F Sport gets a revised body kit with a meshed-out front grille, 17-inch high-gloss alloy wheels, metal front scuff plates, a perforated leather steering wheel, leather shift knob, aluminum pedals, optional perforated leather seats and some metallic trim on the dash. Lexus says the F Sport package also includes a re-tuned suspension, but there's nothing here in the way of powertrain improvements.
In addition to F Sport, the 2012 CT 200h features what the Japanese automaker calls a "Vehicle Proximity Notification System," which is Lexus speak for the [almost-mandated pedestrian warning system](http://green.autoblog.com/2011/07/07/nhtsa-assessing-pedestrian-warning-systems-for-hybrid-and-electr/) that will soon be required on all hybrid and electric vehicles.
Finally, 2012 sees Nebula Gray Pearl appear in the exterior color category and Smoky Granite Mica vanish from the list. Additional color choices include Obsidian, Tungsten Pearl, Starfire Pearl, Matador Red Mica and Ultrasonic Blue. Who names these things?
Lexus has yet to release official photos of the U.S.-bound 2012 CT 200h F Sport, or official pricing for that matter. However, the Ultrasonic Blue hybrid hatch (see gallery below), [unveiled](http://green.autoblog.com/2010/10/18/lexus-unveils-racier-lexus-ct-200h-f-sport-in-sydney/) at the Australian International Motor Show in October 2010, shows off most of the package.
