Offering Eid Prayer at the Eidgah (Open ground)

Is it mandatory for women? How strongly can it be proved with support of instances from the life of Hazrat Mohammad Sal Allah o Aleh Wasalam and Azwaj e muttahiraat?

Please enlighten.

Re: Offering Eid Prayer at the Eidgah (Open ground)

NO, it's NOT recommended to go to mosque / Eid-gaah for the Eidai'n prayers or for any other prayers for that matter. namaaz baa jamaa'at [prayer in congregation] is even discouraged in Islam...it's NOT fard or wajib. Muslim women do go to masaajid but it's NOT required of them...:)

Re: Offering Eid Prayer at the Eidgah (Open ground)

umm resource? and according to which fiqh? well i read that extensive thread on Eid Sunnah in the forum, so i was just wondering does it all apply equally to women too, because as per the thread, there is much reward for eid prayer, especially offering at the eid gah.

Re: Offering Eid Prayer at the Eidgah (Open ground)

i expressed my views based on Hanafi fiqh...i don't have the sources you are asking for because this is what i have learned over the years thru deeniyaat classes. i don't have access to books. sorry...btw, eid namaaz is farz on certain conditions...one of them being the number of inhabitants in a particular city/towm/village/hamlet...
**
...on the side note...if we do NOT pray regularly, we can't expect Allah to give us reward on easier selective acts of worships. if Allah is NOT happy with us because of our slackness in fulfilling the faraaiz as per five pillars of Islam, Allah doesn't care what we do in performing selective rituals. another thing is that we must be very strong in our RIGHT ai'taqaadaat on waHdaaniyat. it's the basis of our iimaan.**

Peace Mirage,

According to both Sahihain (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim) hadiths, It is ordered to women to take part in both Eidain and offer prayers with Mahram. But what Khalil wrote, that is also correct because Hanafi fiqa, discourage it because of different circumstances of time (era).
