..my understanding is that tow trucks are not allowed to carry away illegally parked cars and impound them if there are people in the car.
What would happen if you hid in the trunk of a car, got it towed away, and then got into the driver seat once the car was in the pound.
Could you legally start driving around the pound at speed?
Could you block the entrance from the inside to the pound with your car ?
Could you start blasting out your horn and lights at the people in the pound?
If you were already in the car when it got towed, would you technically be trespassing in the pound? After all, THEY took you in there and THEY locked you in the pound.
Would it be illegal to just drive out of the pound behind the next tow truck?
Well, in my car, there are handles in the trunk that make the rear seat drop down. Whilst this is intended to be used to increase cargo space, what you could do is go into the trunk, pull it shut, then use the remote locking to lock the car doors. To get out, you could either drop the rear seats and move through, or pop the trunk open with the button on the remote locking control.....
why would you take all this time to plan out how you are going to bother the people that tow your car when you can spend that time looking for a parking space that is legal
