as far as i think long will be in fashion atleast this year cz almost every dress in BCW 12-13 was long and flared :D so thats a good news

i decided the same combo red and champagne its like red lehnga,duppata and the gown while the under shirt is champagne :)

Hello fellow autumn/winter brides-to-be. :wave:

My wedding is taking place in October. I’ve done bits and pieces, but still have loads to do. And I want to lose some weight and become more toned, but I’m struggling to do so because my eating times are all over the place at the moment.

Don’t worry just enjoy these days. Have you tried yoga ? I think it helps in toning down the body.

I was also trying to upload pics lately but dun know whats wrong :/ anyways, I am thinking about red with dull gold kaam on barat and it would be a long flared shirt with lehnga. Haven't decided yet about walima. My MIL's gonna get me that. Off white grays and purples are quite inn these days for walima.
I want to book Irfan ahson for photography but I have also short listed some other like shahnawaz afzl and khawar riaz. lets see. I m surely gonna make all the bookings by the end of this month IA

Does anybody know how to grow hair longer?
I had very long hair, went for trimming one day at allenora and tht stupid lady ruined my hair and made them quite shorter :( I am trying to grow my hair since then but its taking too long. heeelllppppppppp!!!!

hello pretty brides to be :slight_smile: i will be getting married in November In Sha Allah. 23rd, 24th and 25th of november more likely.
And all the preparation i have done so far is the few embroidered chiffon dresses that i bought from threads and motifs in january. bassss,thats it. havent even started the diet that i planned to go on. i Alhamdulillah have no weight issues but the skin needs the kind of glow that only good healthy careful diet can bring out, if you know what i mean. what are you guys eating and not eating? i am sorry if this has been discussed in the above post.i didnt go through them all in my excitement to share this stuff with you guys:blush:

i have decided on the dress. will be getting a replica made of this dress i THINK is by umer saeed. not sure though. will post it here so you guys can confirm.
The rest of dresses that i am getting made are mostly casuals.because i want to be able to wear them at my job.how many formals are you guys planning to have? i cant decide on this one. the in laws are a huge clan and i ll be going to a lot of dinners.

and i am SO happy to have you guys :slight_smile: because there is only so much the friends and sisters and cousins can listen to your detail oriented rants :smiley:

Congratulations honeyyy! :slight_smile: You’re most welcome to share ur stuff with us and give us new Ideas. You are so lucky to have no weight issues. I am a bit skinny and I want to put on weight so I am planning to eat lots of fruits And veggies and drink lots of water and juices. Avoid junk as much as you can and drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated.
I have also bought a few chiffon embroided dresses just 3-4 as yet and a pair of shoes and 2 sweaters and some casual dresses. I m getting married on 3rd nov IA and I hope everything goes well. I am also going for a replica. Its by mehdi. Lets see.
Where is your wedding taking place ? Have you decided the venues ? Parlour ? Photographer ?

thank u so much :)i am planning to add plenty of yogurt to my diet,and of course water and fruits are a must. hey you should try shakes for gaining weight. IF you like milk,that is :)

I am from southern part of punjab. there are very few options to choose from as far as photography and venue is concerned. i am thinking Junaid Syed for videography/photography.if you havent heard about him you should check out their page on facebook. they have some talent.
i have decided not to be a total control freak for once in my life and thus the venue department is not my concern anymore.this is one thing i am not going to stress myself out about, baba jani will handle that :)
but for make up i am going for Allenora ,thats for sure.

have you decided on the formals? or all the dress for that matter? what styles are you going for? long shirts or short? too much bling bling kinda formals or the subtle laid back kinda kaams? and the bottoms? chooridaars or shalwars? i have been seeing a lot of shalwars and capris lately. i am going to have a very diverse wardrobe i think.

Yes I am very much fond of milkshakes! :D and yes do add yogurt to your diet and dairy products.
And yes I am also considering junaid syed :) love his work. I had my nikkah makeup done by allenora two years back and they did a nice job but I dont know I've heard that they don't do justice with reds :S
I am gonna make around 25 dresses and yes I might end up having bling bling dresses but quite a few may be three or four because a newly wed bride is supposed to dress up like that though I really don't like this concept :/ rest I am gonna make 8-10 semi formals with light embroideries and 8-10 casuals and they would most probably be long flowy ones including frocks and back tails etc. I am also planning to keep some unstitched clothes so that I could get them stitched according to latest trends afterwards. and for bottoms chooridaars are quite inn and other than that I've also noticed Alladin shalwars are quite in fashion. I am using them nowadays and they look nice with medium length shirts :)

Aaww relax. Sure, I would love to help ? Where r u from ? And where you’re gonna shop from ? I am based in lahore. Price range totally depends on your budget. If you want designer dresses then they are surely expensive and they mostly start from 2 lakh but you can get replicas made of those same designer dresses and they are comparatively cheaper :slight_smile:
Some shops in liberty make replicas within 1 lakh range also and even lesser than that.

Thank you. I am from Lahore but living abroad for my studies. I just want some simple but elegant dresses for my wedding including the jora. I mean i dont want any traditional heavy dresses. I want a plain farshi gharara/lehnga with just the border but a open shirt in red and a red duppata having a double border.

I have contacted madeehas as one of my class mate booked them for first day. Tell me if they are good with reds. i am a bit confused because I have a wheatish complexion and on their website MUA always show gori cheti models. :confused:. Can u imagine I am one of those who never went to a parlour just used a lipstick once in a blue moon with some eye pencil hehe

hehe … okay i can totally relate to you .. i have a tannish / dark wheatish complexion and have struggled with finding a MUA .. Madeehas is good with red but then u have so many other options as well .. rather than relying on reviews i have booked someone who is all ears … and it also depends on your budget .. i have detailed posts on my blog for this .. i am booking athar shehzad’s senior make up artist :slight_smile: theyre very affordable as compared to athar’s signature .. also mariam khuwaja has done some nice stuff too …

about ur lehnga .. again depends on your budget .. u have all options from getting a designer’s to replicas .. simple or heavy .. designer’s start from 1.5 - 2 lacs all the way to 10 lacs :slight_smile: .. replicas can be made within 50 ks 60 ks … and since u want a modern look i guess thts easily possible .. just that you need to have someone stand on the karigars head back at home to get it done .. manageable in karachi more than lahore btw …

post pictures of how u want ur lehnga to look and the ladies here can help you with the designer’s name or who can prep a replica for u.
