Good movie!
Clooney is getting his act together! first O brother where art thou and now this! Brad, Matt Julia, everyone was brilliant! I forgot to mention Andy Garcia…
Never saw the orginal one but this movie was just brilliant.. The Bellagio is a Casino which I have always been fascinated with. Beautiful cinematography
they handled the situations well, considering the plot was simply goin to be the ghissi-pitti (pun intended) story of breaking into a security system, and the shenanigans that go along with it.
Clooney, Pitt and Garcia were smooth. Damon, Roberts and Affleck were juss sideshows in my opinion.
AliBeta, definitely try to check the original version with the rat pack. Although of a different mould, clooney-pitt's performance doesn't come close to blue eyes n dean martin's.
Wasn’t the original movie a flop, and this one is an unqualified hit? Atleast thats what the weekend’s box office shows.
It didn’t get terribly exciting reviews, primarily because it is a remake of an old film which was not a hit in the first place. But I guess the new formula works “Don’t remake old hit movies. Remake old flop movies”
Plan to see it sometime in the next two weeks, depending on how busy I am with the work. Christmas time will be crazy, and I also wanna see Penelope in Vanilla Sky (yeah, TC too!).
Casey Affleck, Fraudia. One of the two picked up from Utah.
Pristine, apart from having the same name and plot the two don't have many other parrallels. The main purpose of this one, as Sodenbergh emphasized was to bring back a big-cast cinematic experience ala the good ol' days.
movie-wise, the original was a bit too slow n long; 40-somethings runnin around. The new one's juss the opposite, slick, smart and fast-paced; and has fresh faces.
But it's Sinatra n Dean's pairing that really made the old 'un a bit worthwhile.
heheh, nice formula Pristine, and it’s almost workin these days! Remake flops so the audiences are left wonderin why the producers even bothered, and actually go and watch the new version.
